Al-Bayan Educational Complex for Girls is an international, independent school licensed by the Qatari Supreme Council of Education. The school was first established as a scientific school offering international scientific curriculum to talented students. In 2004 Al-Bayan became an independent school, and started offering humanities to comply with the vision of the Supreme Council of creating a well balanced student.
Al-Bayan was founded in 1999 with the aim of providing an education of high quality which would meet the highest international standards, whilst remaining firmly rooted in the Arab Islamic heritage. The school’s mission is to prepare students to become citizens of the world through its commitment to the development of the whole child, both as an individual and as a member of the international community. School seeks to create leaders of tomorrow who are international in character, principals, concern and attitude; who are proud citizens of their own community yet tolerant, respectful and civil citizens of the world too.
Since its modest beginnings, Al-Bayan had always been recognized by the Qatari society as a pioneer leading school where modern educational methods and approaches are implemented and enthusiastically embraced, and so had paved the way for other local schools to follow.
In 2002, Al.Bayan Senior School began to investigate the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program as a way to provide students with the opportunity for increased academic rigor and was authorized 2007. Al-Bayan’s first IB batch graduated 2009 with astonishing results both internationally (IB) and nationally- Qatari Exit Examinations. Al-Bayan is a member in the Council of International Schools (CIS) and a mentor school for Microsoft.
